NOWSHERA: The Indian Army, under Operation Sadbhavana and the Ace of Spades Division, successfully hosted the grand finale of the Lam Premier League Volleyball Tournament at Lower Narian Garrison in Nowshera, Rajouri District.
This event aimed to promote sportsmanship and engage local youth, strengthening the bond between the Army and the community. The tournament featured 26 teams from various clubs in the region, displaying exceptional skill and determination. After intense league matches, the finals saw Sai Team Jammu clinch the title in the Boys’ Category, while Samba emerged victorious in the Girls’ Category. The matches were an exciting showcase of the youth’s talent and resilience. The initiative underscored the Army’s commitment to encouraging youth participation in sports and identifying emerging talent. Several players were selected for professional coaching, sponsored by the armed forces, as part of their effort to support and uplift the local community. The event was attended by Maj Gen Kaushik Mukherjee, GOC Ace of Spades Division, Brigadier DKS Sharawat, Abhishek Kumar (DC Rajouri), and Mohammad Tariq (Joint Secretary Volleyball Association, Jammu). The tournament successfully brought together the community, inspiring young minds to excel both on and off the field.
