Army holds Inter-Panchayat Volleyball Competition

NOWSHERA: On the occasion of Jhangar Day, the Indian Army orchestrated an Inter-Panchayat Volleyball Competition spanning from June 25 to July 1, 2024, aimed at fostering camaraderie and promoting physical fitness among the youth from various border villages of Nowshera.
Organized under Operation Sadbhavana, the initiative not only emphasized sportsmanship but also aimed to strengthen bonds and instill a spirit of brotherhood among the participants. A total of ten teams competed vigorously throughout the tournament. Following intense matches, the teams representing Kalal and Kalsiyan villages emerged as finalists, with Kalal securing victory in the final match. This event, held in a village near the Line of Control in Sub District Nowshera, showcased the skill and teamwork of the participants while fostering a sense of unity within the community. The competition served broader objectives, including the identification and nurturing of young talents, providing them with a platform to hone their skills akin to the vision of Khelo India. Additionally, it aimed to initiate constructive dialogues on pertinent social issues, particularly raising awareness against drug abuse among children and youth residing near the Line of Control. The players expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing such meaningful competitions periodically and for providing a platform that engages youth positively towards nation-building endeavors.
Such events not only contribute to community development but also reinforce the spirit of patriotism and collective responsibility among the residents of Sub-District Nowshera.
