Wins 3rd prize in ‘Vision: Design for the Future’

JAMMU: Ashish Rohmetra, is an award-winning architect from J&K and founding partner of Nida Architects, got third prize in an international competition for a Blind School in Guhawati.
An international competition ‘Vision: Design for the Future’ was organized by the Archdais Private Limited which culminated recently in a stunning display of creativity and vision.
Ashish, son of Narinder Rohmetra, a retired Chief Engineer, has over many years of experience working on high-end commercial projects. He has worked in Jammu, Delhi NCR, and Kolkata.
Ashish Rohmetra also earlier received Architecture And Interior Design Excellence Award 2023 under Category Premium Residential Projects, Hospitality And Commercial Projects by Architects of India at Bangalore by achieving prize amongst 1000 plus entries in an “International Interior Design Awards – Category: Residential”, organised by Archdais.
The award was bestowed to recognize outstanding ideas that redefine the interior design through the implementation of novel technologies, materials, programs, aesthetics and spatial organizations.
In competition for a Blind School in Guhawati, architects, designers, students, and visionaries around the globe rose to the challenge of designing an Educational Centre for Visually Impaired Learners, aimed at breaking down barriers and fostering inclusivity.
Each submission was a testament to the power of design in bridging gaps and creating empathetic, inclusive environments.
The participants showcased how architecture can do more than create spaces, it can build communities and change perceptions.
The work highlighted the significance of accessible, aesthetically pleasing, and functional designs in enhancing lives.
