JAMMU: Cadet Apurva Tripathi of Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar (B Coy) outshined among all the NCC Cadets of J and K State by clinching the position of best cadet of J and K Directorate. She received the cheque amounting to Rs. 3500.
Cadet Apurva is a trained shooter and has successfully qualified the first two international trials held at Kerala.
Earlier, she qualified nationals, pre nationals and represented the J and K Directorate at Nationals. She has been trained by Olympics shooters Lajja Goswami during pre-nationals at Gujarat. She also attended the prestigious Thalsainik Camp (TSC) at Delhi and National Integration Camp at Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Principal of the College, Dr. Kiran Bakshi applauded the cadet for achievement and appreciated the ANO (B Coy) Prof. Shivani Sharma for guiding the cadet and carving out the best from her.
