DODA: The victory of Mohammed Shafi Pandit a well known formal bureaucrat from J and K State for the presidentship of Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI) has sent waves of joy and happiness among the youth hoteliers of Jammu Kashmir, particularly the members from Chenab Valley region.
The elections in which Shafi emerged as the most favourite and successful candidate were held recently in New Delhi.
Soon after hearing this news the youth of Chenab Valley region assembled. In this regard an impressive function was held at Doda which was attended by many youth including the life members of Youth Hostel Association of India notably Naseer Ahmed Khora, Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Kelam, Abdul Majid Bichoo, Dr Zia Shoukat Mughal, AejazAhmed ,Faizan Ali Tramboo, Moosa Azad, Mohammed Iqbal Bhat, Shagufta Mughal, Zeeshan Ahmed and Mirza Jahanzeb and various other life members of Chenab Valley region.
In the meeting the speakers lauded the role of Shafi Pandit in activities of YHAI earlier in his different capacities within the organisation. They expressed hope that under the dynamic leadership of Pandit, the Youth Hostel movement in India will gain new momentum.
