RAJOURI: Pahari Welfare Forum urged State Coalition Government to appoint the Vice Chairman of J and K Pahari Advisory Board at the earliest so that the grievances of the people of backward areas would be redressed.
A meeting of Pahari Employees Welfare Association, Pahari Welfare and Cultural Forum, Pahari United Front and Pir Panchal Pahari Welfare Forum under the banner of Pahari Welfare Forum (PWF) was held under the chairmanship of President PWF, Lokesh Kumar Sharma here.
Sharma said the previous Coalition Government has failed to redress the grievances of Pahari speaking people. The grievances of the people of far flung areas of Rajouri and Poonch Districts have not been not redressed for long time.
Sharma urged the State Coalition Government to appoint Vice Chairman of Pahari Advisory Board, who will take personal interest to solve the miseries of the people of backward area and highlight same before the government.
The forum urged State Government to appoint Sushil Sudan as Vice Chairman of the Pahari Advisory Board so that the demands of the community would be highlighted adding Sushil Sudan, a political leader and social worker, is serving the people for the last 20 years without any personal interest.
Among those who were present in the meeting-Shakeel Azad, Pir Mustafa Sayeed, Tilak Raj Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Raja Mohan Singh, Padam Dev Singh, Jasbir Singh, Capt Harnam Singh, K.K Pathan and Haq Nawaz.
