Apollo Hospitals provides medical assistance to J&K residents

NEW DELHI: Leading private healthcare provider Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals has come forward to aid the internally displaced Kashmiri people at Jagti in Jammu province. The hospital has set up a day-long, free health check-up camp to provide medical treatment and medicines to those in need at Jagti and Nagrota in Jammu.
The hospital has deputed a medical team comprising specialists and a consignment containing medicines and medical consumables, etc. to Jammu on 29th May 2016. The Apollo Hospitals team included senior consultants, namely Dr Shakti Bhan Khanna – Sr Consultant Gynecology, Dr N.M Tikoo – Sr Consultant Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dr Anoop Ganjoo – Sr Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dr Girija Tickoo – Sr Consultant Gynecology, Dr Vijay Kumar Kachroo – Sr Consultant Internal Medicine and Dr Rajesh Kaul – Sr Consultant Pediatrics from Jammu.
“In this hour of need, we are trying to extend all possible support to the residents. A multi-disciplinary medical team has flown to the province along with medical supplies. A free health check-up camp is being organised,” said Dr Shakti Bhan Khanna.
