Anti-vehicle theft team formed

JAMMU: SSP Jammu Dr. Sunil Gupta while reviewing the mothly crim meeting called for effective drive to recover stolen vehicles and check the growing crime of thefts in the district.
The SSP called for setting up a Joint Investigating Centre (JIC) to check the growing for motor vehicle thefts and was designated the special cell as Anti-Vehicle Theft And Recovery (Avtar) to be by headed by SP South.
He said, AVTAR will conduct raids throughout the Jammu District in the coming fortnight and SHOs/I/C PPs were directed to take stern action against those
who involved in vehicle theft etc.
This team will interrogate the person arrested anywhere in Jammu and keep a thorough record of them in a computer file. They were pulled to identify and fulfill the targets assigned within the stipulated period of time.
The meeting was attended by of Zonal SPs, SDPOs/ SHOs/ In-charge PPs of South Zone at Police Station Gandhi Nagar on Thursday.
