JAMMU: An anti-mosquito drive in the form of thermal fogging has been launched today by Rajesh Gupta MLA Jammu East from Main Chowk Panjtirthi Ward No. 01 in presence of Soujanya Sharma Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Dr. Mohd. Saleem Khan Health Officer, MVO and other officers.
A ward wise roaster schedule for whole of the city is prepared from 1st to 30th May, 2015 by State Malariologist with the consultation of Health Officer JMC.
The thermal fogging will be done under the joint supervision of Health Officer and Anti Malaria Officer.
Rajesh Gupta appealed to the people to cooperate with the staff of JMC and Malaria Department to make the drive a complete success.
Soujanya appealed to the general public that stagnant water from tyres should be removed, water of coolers be changed from time to time and also do not allow the water to remain stagnant around the premises because it is the main source of mosquito breeding. Commissioner JMC also directed to the officials of Malaria department that no area of the wards should remain untouched during anti mosquito fogging drive.
