Anti-India activities be curbed with heavy hands: VHP

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: With Kashmir on the boil over terrorist Burhan Wani’s death, Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP), Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation especially in Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar, Bhadarwah and Ramban Districts of Jammu province.
“This fire from Kashmir Valley is now spreading in Jammu province also which is a serious situation and requires to be curbed with heavy hands,” State VHP President Leela Karan Sharma told reporters here.
Sharma said that the incidents taken place in Rajouri, Ramban and other places where anti-national elements belonging to a particular community after offering prayers pelted stones and created violence in protest of the situation prevailing in the Valley are strongly condemned.
“The time has come to act swiftly and fastly to curb the anti-national elements, any delay shall be suicidal,” he said adding that any attempt on security forces shall not be tolerated.
Sharma reiterated his demand that the time has come to remove all provisions of separatism from the Constitution and bring the State at par with other states, segregate the separatists and deal with them with heavy hands and put the culprits behind the bars.
Sharma also asked the administration to take immediate action against the culprits who have done the sacrilegious act at Sunderbani where some anti-national elements have tried to kill cows and disturb the peace of the area.
Sharma warned the administration that this type of act shall not be tolerated and if the administration fails to take action immediately the VHP has no other option but to come on the roads and the responsibility will be of the administration.
Suresh Chander Working President, Prabhu Dhyal Gupta Vice President, Sudershan Khajuria Seh Samparak Pramukh and others were also present in the press conference.
