JAMMU: Under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, an awareness program on drug abuse was organized on Friday at Wave Mall Jammu by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in collaboration with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Jammu.
The event witnessed active participation from a large number of customers and shopkeepers.
The programme focused on various aspects of drug abuse, with insightful sessions conducted by SSP ANTF Raj Kumar, DySP ANTF Jammu Tanvir Geelani, and officers of NCB Jammu.
The primary objective of the programme was to educate the public about the perils of drug abuse and to combat the growing menace within society.
The people in the Mall were encouraged to play an active role in spreading awareness about drug abuse, particularly among children, as a preventive measure.
Emphasizing the importance of community involvement, participants were urged to share any information they may have about drug peddlers and smugglers with law enforcement agencies for necessary legal action.
By engaging with the public in a bustling setting like Wave Mall, the awareness program aimed to reach a wider audience and instill a sense of responsibility towards combating drug abuse.
The collaborative efforts of ANTF and NCB underscored the commitment towards creating a drug-free society and safeguarding the well-being of future generations. Initiatives like these play a crucial role in raising awareness, fostering community participation, and ultimately curbing the menace of drug abuse.
