The session was spearheaded by SSP ANTF Raj Kumar, alongside the Amar Ujala team led by Rolly Khanna.
The aim was to sensitize the younger generation about the devastating effects of drug abuse and to inspire them to actively engage in the movement against the drug menace that is threatening society at large.
Participants were briefed on the dangers of substance abuse and were encouraged to adopt sports and fitness activities as a positive and preventive lifestyle measure.
The speakers highlighted the importance of early awareness, peer support, and community vigilance in tackling the growing drug threat.
A key message emphasized during the event was the need for timely information-sharing.
Students and staff were encouraged to report any suspicious activities or known drug peddlers in their surroundings to law enforcement authorities. Such community-driven action is vital in ensuring a robust response to drug-related crimes.
In a unique and impactful initiative, eight girl students were nominated as ‘Awareness Yodhas’. These students will be trained further to lead anti-drug awareness campaigns within their educational institutions. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to these Yodhas as a mark of recognition and encouragement.
The Awareness Yodhas Program, launched by the Crime Headquarters, aims to cultivate a grassroots network of informed youth who can become catalysts for change in the fight against drug addiction.
The event concluded with a collective pledge to keep campuses and communities drug-free, reaffirming the commitment of students, faculty, and law enforcement to build a healthier and safer future.
