JAMMU: In line with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) team of Jammu organized an awareness program on drug abuse at the Girls High School in Jammu today. Approximately 100 students and staff members participated in this crucial initiative aimed at combating the drug menace in society.
The session featured a comprehensive briefing led by SSP ANTF Raj Kumar, who discussed various aspects of drug abuse and its detrimental effects on individuals and communities. The primary goal of the program was to educate students about the dangers of drug use and to promote healthier lifestyle choices.
During the program, students were encouraged to engage in sports and other extracurricular activities as preventive measures against drug abuse. “Staying active and involved in sports can significantly reduce the risk of falling into drug-related issues,” Raj Kumar emphasized.
Additionally, attendees were urged to share information with law enforcement agencies regarding drug peddlers and smugglers, underscoring the importance of community vigilance in tackling drug-related crimes. The SSP encouraged students to communicate with their peer groups, spreading awareness about the perils of drug abuse within their circles.
The program was well-received, with students expressing their commitment to staying drug-free and actively participating in community efforts to combat substance abuse. By fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility, the ANTF aims to empower the youth of Jammu to make informed decisions and contribute to a safer, healthier society.
