Ansari for restructuring Polytechnic training modules

JAMMU: Stressing the need for restructuring the training programmes as per the requirement of the service sector the Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports Imran Raza Ansari on Saturday called for maintaining close liaison for giving the industry the best technocrats for the right jobs at the right time.
The minister said this after inaugurating Job Fest-2015, a placement drive for the trained diploma graduates at Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu.
The event was organised by the department of Technical Education, Government Polytechnic, Jammu in collaboration with CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar with the aim to provide employment opportunities to polytechnic students in multinational and national companies such as Click Labs, Tyco Electronics, Videocon, Embrix Infratech, IEC Gensets Ltd, Sofcon India Ltd, Kirloskar Oil Engine Ltd, Ginger Web Ltd, Dream Waiver Group, Excel Technology & Security Service, Indo tech Etc.
The minister said that the government is resolved to convert the challenges into opportunities and skill development is one of the thrust areas. He said that India is moving into skill intensive industrial and services arena and as such there would be huge requirement of trained human resource and for harnessing the employment opportunities the state has to brace up for skill development.
Ansari said that it is his endeavour to strengthen the Department to meet the challenge of employment and ensure giving qualified technocrats to the industry. He sought cooperation of all stakeholders to strengthen the initiatives of the department of Technical Education to resolve the problem of unemployment in the state.
