ANNUAL TRANSFER DRIVE

Our education department must be praised for doing away with the old system of transfers in the department which was less transparent and more responsible for feeding corruption in the department.
In its place, our experts have sought to bring the online mode which seems more transparent and helpful for all the employees in the department. Transfers are an indispensable part of service and if they are managed properly they can bring better academic results without any doubt.
Last year our education department went through a lengthy process of the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD). The teachers were provided with transparent options through online mode.
However, due to some unknown reasons, it was abandoned at the last moment. We are still unaware of the real cause of its abandonment. Now the department has initiated a new ATD from the beginning.
For this new ATD, the experts have come up with the zonation process under which all the schools are divided into 5 zones.
The maximum number of schools falls in Zone 3. Many teachers are apprehensive about the zonation process in the new transfer drive.
Many of the lecturers, masters and teachers believe that last year’s ATD was more suitable.
Witnessing the result of the last year’s ATD, many employees are apprehensive that this year’s drive too is going to land in some abyss too. The timing of this new ATD also is not proper. Many employees feel that it must have been initiated earlier.
Many schools have already started the new session and if this ATD is implemented after one month or more it would already be mid-session which the experts believe is not a proper time for transfers because it affects the education of our children and leads them to suffer.
There is also a growing demand from the employees that all the teachers whether lecturers, masters, teachers, GLT, G2 or G3 must be treated equally under this new Annual Transfer Drive.
There is no doubt that being the employees of the government we have to obey the proper directions of the experts and the department. However, for a healthy and beneficial environment to grow it is important that all the employees are taken into confidence while the formulation of planning for a better education future.
Our every step including the transfer policies must be education centered.
The department’s first and foremost priority must be the benefit of our students. All the employees should be posted properly so that the students won’t have to suffer.
An employee can hardly blame the department for posting him or her far from his or her locality if there are no health or security issues. However, these postings must be education friendly.
