Why anguish and not Gaibana Nimaz-e-Jinaza for killer Talibans?

Jammu: Peshawar school killings will keep the world haunting for many days. The terror monster has struck deadly against innocent children, who would have been bubbling with dreams for a life that got snatched in the midst of their childhood.

Kashmiri separatists have reason to feel threatened for portraying terrorists as Jihadis and role models for Kashmiri youth.

They were plucked even before blooming by those believing to be engaged in holy war. No words are enough to describe the manifestation of Jihad in a country, promoted and nurtured by its lunatic rulers and the army commanders for nearly three decades.
Deaths of 160 persons, over 120 of them students in their teens, are so chilling that even beasts can turn humane for a while. The killings have evoked widespread condemnation. Kashmir’s Syed Ali Shah Geelani too is shocked. He has forgotten for a while to give call for shut-down or to lead Gaibana Nimaz-e-Jinaza for the six Jihadis of Pakistan Taliban, who undertook the carnage. He has described the killer Jihadis as the biggest enemies of Islam and Muslims.
Listening to Geelani condemning Jihadis stuns the listeners for a while even during this hour of grief across the world. Isn’t he the same person who spearheaded the funeral prayers- Gaibana Nimaz-e-Jinaza when the international terrorist Osama bin Laden was killed in his rat-hole of Abbetabad in Pakistan? That time he had condemned the US, saying Osama’s assassination had hurt Muslim sentiments. In order to give a proper farewell to a terrorist whose remains were consigned in deep sea waters, Geelani and his cronies in other separatist outfits in Kashmir felt obliged to organise Gaibana Nimaz-e-Jinaza’.
Syed Ali Geelani must not have forgotten his passionate appeal made to the people of Kashmir on 23rd November 2012 to hold Gaibana Nimaz-e-Jinaza’ for Mumbai mayhem terrorist Ajmal Kasab. “Funeral prayers should be held for (Palestinian) martyrs and Kasab should also be remembered. Nimaz-e-Jinaza (funeral prayers) should also be offered to him,” Geelani had said in a video message.
Early this year Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar, Yasin Malik and others openly eulogised terrorists as freedom fighters or Mujahids and gave a call for Bandh in protest against killing of two foreign mercenaries in Pulwama encounter. When the violent mob was tackled by law enforcing agencies, Geelani cried hoarse on human rights violations. This has been a common feature in Kashmir to organise protests over the killing of terrorists, who are as good or as worst the Pakistani Taliban, responsible for the Peshawar school attack.
Why are now Kashmiri separatists at the back foot when terror has struck in the neighbouring country? The answer is obvious. They feel threatened for portraying the terrorists as Jihadis and thus role models for youth in Kashmir. They are in a jittery to witness the outrage across the Valley with people left dumb stricken over the most heinous carnage. Geelani and company is also aware what the Peshawar mayhem means for the residents of Kashmir. They know that this single incident can turn as turning point in Kashmir with people wondering over a situation like this arising anytime in their neighbourhood, in their immediate vicinity or anywhere in the Valley. After all terror monster eats up the vitals of its mentors. This has been proved beyond any doubt in Peshawara.
