BHADARWAH: To continue their struggle for their genuine demands, Anganwari workers and helpers under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front(JKNTUF) held a protest in General Bus Stand Kotli Bhadarwah on Saturday.
The protest was organised to press the State Govt and higher authorities of the Social Welfare Deptt to settle the burning demands of Anganwari workers and helpers engaged after 1982.
The protesters were raising slogans in support of their demands urging the State Govt for framing regularisation policy for all workers and helpers who are working in the Deptt for the last more than 10 years.
Shamim Akhter President Anganwari Workers and Helpers Association(AWHA) said that the important assignment of the Deptt is run by these Anganwari workers and helpers, in this situation the poor employees deserve sympathetic and favourable consideration regarding regularisation.
While addressing the protesters Distt-President JKNTUF Ab. Hafiz Dar condemned the co-motherly step of State Govt and higher authorities of Social Welfare Deptt and said that further delay in the settlement of these genuine demands will compel the Trade Union to launch a united mass agitation.
