STATE TIMES NEWS
PANCHERI: Amit Sharma, Regional Director Survey and Land Records, Udhampur/Reasi on Thursday held a day-long camp at higher range hilly Tehsil Panchari of Udhampur District wherein he held a review meeting with revenue officers and addressed issues of public and revenue officers of twin adjoining Tehsils of Panchari and Moungri wherein revenue officers expressed difficulties in imparting justice towards work and duties, primarily due to shortage of revenue staff in both Tehsils especially due to non-availability of Girdawars and Patwaris in both the Tehsils.
After taking a detailed review meeting of revenue officers of Panchari and Moungri Tehsils, the Regional Director met few delegations of the public of the area for spot redressal of their grievances and prominent amongst those was a delegation of specially-abled persons led by Purshotam Kumar who requested for provision of state land or building for creation of a 100-bedded hospital/complex, first-of-its-kind in state in Udhampur District and they even hinted that the government can show graciousness by donating vacant-lying Dhranedra Bharmchari Ashram complex at Mantalai for the said purpose.
Sharma listened to their request patiently and assured them that their noble request for helping this genuine mission of specially-abled persons shall be taken at all the appropriate forums for meeting a logical end at the earliest.
During the meeting, Amit also exhorted all revenue officials of these hilly and far flung areas Panchari and Moungri areas of Udhampur District to remain stationed at respective headquarters as Revenue Department is the face of administration which works as guardian of a common citizen and public also feels safe and secure during their presence.
Lastly, RD, S&LR Amit Sharma also directed revenue officials to deal strictly with encroachers of state/Kacharai/common lands with penal action and remove all such illegal occupations so as discourage against such unlawful activities in future.
