Amandeep Hospital conducts live knee surgery, shoulder arthroscopy

AMRITSAR: Amandeep Educational Society organised a live surgery session for knee and shoulder arthroscopy.
Chief Orthopeadic Surgeon, Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, Dr. Avtar Singh inaugurated the session. Dr. Ravi Gupta, Faculty, GMCH, Chandigarh and Dr. Dilvansh Singh Pandher, Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon, Oxford Hospital, Jalandhar addressed the sessions. Dr. G.S Gill, Elected Member, MCI attended the conference as a special guest.
Complications, pitfalls and pearls in ACLR, meniscal repair, boon or bore, ACL/Meniscal repair with soft graft, choices of graft in ACL Surgery, PCL reconstruction and ACL reconstruction with BTB graft were discussed. Meniscal repair demonstration was given, clinical examination of shoulder, double row versus single row rotator cuff repair, failed bankart etc. topics were also included. Live surgeries were performed which were attended by more than 50 orthopeadic surgeons of the region at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar.
While the live surgery was going on in operation theatre, participants watched it at Conference Hall of Amandeep Hospital and cleared their doubts and quarries by directly interacting with the performing doctors. This session included lectures, video presentations, open discussions and live surgeries which will surely help the upcoming orthopeadic surgeons of the region to clear their doubts.
This workshop was aimed at surgeons who perform shoulder and knee arthoscopy surgeries in their clinical practice and were interested in expanding their practical and theoretical knowledge in improving patient outcomes.
