Ajit of Udhampur bags Ace Chess title

JAMMU: Ajit Singh of Udhampur won the Ace Chess Tournament open-A category organised by Ace Chess Academy while Ravi Sharma of Kathua and Defending State champion Sumit Grover had to content with second and third place respectively.
In the open-B category Puneet Choudhary won the first position while second and third position went to Ritish Pathania and Maanik Choudhary.
In U-13 category, Akashdeep won the first position while second and third position went to Arshdeep Singh and Sanyam Gupta.
In U-9 category, Deewang Gupta won the tournament while Divay Jain and Divyam Gupta won second and third place.
A total 52 players participated in this event which was played as per FIDE norms.
Dr. A.S Bhatia, HOD Biochemistry Medical College Jammu was the Chief Guest who distributed the prizes.
Among others present were President All J&K Chess Association, Atul Kumar Gupta, Vice President, Baldev Raj and owner of Ace Chess Academy, Tej Ram Choudhary.
FIDE Arbiter, Bindu Pathania was the chief arbiter of the event.
