KATHUA: All India Sumbria Welfare Association (AISWA) convened a meeting at Gari Fort, Thara Kalal in Kathua to take stock of development issues of the historic monument which can act as an attractive tourist destination for the visitors.
The meeting had a detailed deliberation on various issues envisaging face-lifting of this ancient Rajput legacy besides reviewing works being executed in and around the fort under CDF sanctioned by Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh. “Proper and speedy development and beautification of the fort would certainly add one more historic and religious spot in the tourism profile of the State”, observed the meeting. The bye-laws and aims and objectives of the association were also discussed and finalised in the meeting.
On the occasion, President S.S Sumbria reconstituted the committee in the backdrop of dissolving of last committee in the previous Biradari congregation.
The new members of the Committee included S.S Sumbria as President, Sarup Singh, Khajoor Singh, who is entrusted with the responsibility of Working President, and Rashpal Singh as Vice Presidents, Balkar Singh -Secretary, Anchal Singh -Joint Secretary, Bishan Singh -Cashier, Surjeet Singh -Coordinator, Sukhdev Singh -Office Secretary, Rajender Singh -Assistant Office Secretary/Store Keeper, Narender Singh -Convener Youth Wing, Deepak Singh and Pawan Singh -Assistant Convenors, Retired Sessions Judge Surjeet Singh, Chankar Singh, Swarn Singh, Baldev Singh, Chain Singh as Advisors.
