AIKS Trust distributes scholarships to students of GHSS Jagti

JAMMU: All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) Trust on Sunday distributed scholarships amongst the students of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Jagti, selected by adopting merit and means criteria.
The scholarships distribution function held at Press Club Jammu was presided over by the President AIKS Vijay Aima.
M.L Raina, Commissioner, Relief and Rehabilitation (Migrants) and Moti Koul, Vice President, Jammu were the Guests of Honour.
Others present in the podium were M.K Pajan, General Secretary, AIKS and Santosh, Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Jagti.
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary AIKS, M.K Pajan apprised the gathering about the activities of AIKS and AIKS Trust.
Moti Koul appreciated the students for their hard work to be meritorious. He also counselled the students to avail the particular government schemes regarding education, in particular the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme. Further he requested the Relief Commissioner to remove the hurdles faced by the displaced community.
The Relief Commissioner, M.L Raina assured his full co-operation to the community in exile.
Vijay Aima put emphasis on the future programmes regarding the youth of the community as they are the future of the nation.
He advised the students to be competitive in education.
Aryan Romesh moderated the programe and presented vote of thanks.
The prominent among the guests besides students and their guardians were Prof G.K Mujoo, Member AIKS Trust and AIKS Education, M.K Jalali, President, Sharika Peeth, Vijay Kashkari Convener, AIKS, J.L Pandit, Vice President BJP District Migrant, Veer Saraf BJP Kashmir, Sunil Thusoo and Sanjay Dhar of KMECT, M.K Bhat of Help Line Humanity and Pintoo of Global Solace.
