JAMMU: All India Human Right Association (AIHRA), Jammu and Kashmir, appreciated the step taken by Deputy Superintendent of Police for removing the black film on the vehicle of Kashmir University Vice Chancellor, Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi.
In a meeting of the association held here on Monday, Chief Advisor, Rajiv Mahajan said that police officer doing his duty while removing the black film from the window panes of the vehicle, which is allowed only for vehicles of Z and Z plus category.
He criticized Andrabi, who despite a well known academician, entered into an argument with the police officer, who was only doing his duty.
Appreciating the job done by DySP, Rajiv warned State Government and Police Department that if any action be taken against DySP under the any pressure then the AIHRA will launch agitation against the government. He said in its judgment, the Supreme Court has directed the Director Generals of Police and Commissioners of Police of all states and union territories to strictly comply with the its judgment on the use of tinted glasses in vehicles, or else face contempt of court action.
