POONCH: A meeting of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) was held at Dak Bunglow Poonch under the Chairmanship of its Chairman H.D Betab in which State President Abdul Majid Malik was the Chief Guest.
All the participants expressed their anguish over the non-functioning of the OBC-Advisory and Development Board which is lying defunct after the formation of the new PDP-BJP Govt.
All boards like SC/ST and others have been
activised but OBC-Board has been ignored which is a matter of serious negligence an act against the State OBCs.
MoS Social Welfare Aisya Niqaush made a statement for the welfare of the OBCs but brought four villages under the ambit of RBA only shows that MoS cannot make any difference between RBA and OBCs is a very grave injustice concerning matter.
Prof. Kali Dass Gen. Secretary stated that there is no ideological difference between different political parties as almost all are hell bent to eradicate the constitutional provisions for the upliftment of the downtrodden in the country as well as in J and K State in particular.
He further said that all demands of the State OBCs called OSCs have been streamlined for their redressal in the OBC-file in the Office of Social Welfare Commissioner which need to be kept before the Cabinet for early solution. The demands include enhancement of creamy layer from 4.5 lakh to 6 Lakh which the Centre Govt. has already done on 18th May of 2013, renewal of OSC Certificate on the basis of income certificate, one and only certificate instead of one in the name of OBC, enhancement of reservation quota from 2 to 27 per cent and separation of RBA/ALC from the State Commission for Backward Classes.
Commissioner / Secretary of Social Welfare Sarita Chohan was requested to forward the concerned file for Cabinet approval.
Tehsil Sunderbani President Madan Lal Verma expressed his determination to unite OBCs of district Rajouri at all costs.
