Agriculture Technology Management Agency provides training to sheep, goat breeders

JAMMU: Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Jammu on Sunday organised a daylong training programme for sheep and goat breeders.
Project Director ATMA, Dr. V.S Verma welcomed the officers and resource persons of Sheep Husbandry Department as well as farmers in the training camp.
Deputy Project Director ATMA, B.B Sidha divulged that the agency was committed to the service of farmers for their overall development and enhancing their farm income. He apprised the farmers that the training was organised for making the farmers aware of various schemes of Sheep Husbandry Department for sheep and goat breeders, besides providing solution to various problems in sheep and goat rearing.
District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. S.A Tak gave health tips, management of sheep and goats, besides informing the farmers about various centrally sponsored schemes for the welfare of sheep breeders of the area.
During the training, resource persons Dr. Qari Najib BVO Satwari, Dr. Rahul Dingra BVO Bishnah and Dr. Deepanjali Verma Research Assistant DIL, Kartholi educated sheep and goat breeders about care and management of pregnant sheep and goats, diagnostics and treatment of different diseases of sheep and goats.
Proposing vote of thanks, Ravinder Kachroo, Deputy Project Director ATMA expressed gratitude towards Dr. S.A Tak District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Jammu for his cooperation in organising the training camp.
Dr. K.L Kakroo, Principal Training Institute and Dr. Farhat Bashir Officer, Incharge Training Class of Sheep Husbandry Department were also thanked for providing facilities for the successful conductance of the camp.
