JAMMU: A Division Bench of the J&K State High Court comprising Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar (First Puisne Judge) and Justice B. S Walia on Wednesday took serious note of the communications being issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar aiming to defeat the directions of the Court related to shifting of Judicial Complex in the Old DC Office building, Kishtwar.
The bench was hearing a contempt petition filed by Bar Association, Kishtwar alleging violation of the directions issued by the Court on 27th May, 2016 and 19th October, 2016 regarding shifting of Judicial Complex in Old DC Office building.
After hearing Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed with Advocate Irfaan Mohd Khan appearing for Kishtwar Bar Association and Advocate General Jahangir Iqbal Ganai with Senior Additional Advocate General Seema Shekher and Deputy Advocate General Ahsan Mirza appearing for the State, the Bench observed that the directions of the Court were still unimplemented.
The Advocate General assured the Bench that steps will be taken to implement the previous directions of the Court. He reassured that the offices of the Judiciary will move in the Old Revenue Complex as per the orders of the Court. In view of AG’s assurance, the Bench posted the matter for compliance on 13th February, 2017.
