After Article 370, PM Modi’s vision brought new era of peace, prosperity in J&K: Chugh

SRINAGAR: BJP National General Secretary and in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir Tarun Chugh on Saturday said that four years after the abrogation of Article 370, a new era of peace and prosperity has begun in the Union Territory.
Chugh said that Jammu and Kashmir, which was known as the epicenter of terrorism, has now become the tourism capital, where people from all parts of the country come and boost the economy of the region.
In last one year, maximum number of tourists has come to Jammu and Kashmir. The international level successful events is witness to the peace and development of Jammu and Kashmir.
Chugh pointed out that the most important achievement since the abrogation of Article 370 four years ago is that incidents of cross-border firing have become negligible, even as the ISI game plan has been defeated.
Chugh said that children are no longer talking about bricks and stones, but are looking for computers and books. A positive environment of education has been created for the students in schools and colleges, he added.
Chugh said that a new era of development has come in Jammu and Kashmir under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where all sections of the society are progressing. There is no discrimination with any section of the society, whether it is Gujjar or Bakarwal, he maintained.
Chugh said the economy of the Union Territory has reached a new height and people have started looking for a better life beyond the Abdullahs and Muftis who exploited Jammu and Kashmir for decades to promote family interests.
