Advocates of Poonch highlight public issue, urge LG Administration to intervene

POONCH: All the Advocates of Poonch Bar have urged LG of J&K Manoj Sinha to intervene and modify the order of attestation of affidavits of widow pension, old age pension, disability pension to be done by the Judicial (Judges) Magistrates 1st class and to allow the attestation to be done by the public Notaries licensed under the Notaries Act.

They said that due to this Lakhs of people are suffering, waiting for their affidavits to be attested by the Judges and simultaneously even Judges who are already burdened by huge number of pending cases are also facing hardships in dealing with the important and routine judicial functions. Those who spoke on the occasion wer Adv. Mohd Zaman, Adv. Abdul Majid Khan, Adv. Bhanu Partap, Adv. MM Khan, Adv Navjot Sharma Adv Waseem Bukhari, Adv Samir Malik, Adv Mahesh Raina, Adv Arphan ul Haq, Adv. Tayer Mahmood. “The attestation of these affidavits by the Public Notary advocates will ease this cumbersome process and will benefit the public and judicial officers as well. The LG administration may kindly issue necessary directions to the concerned and resolve this issue, they said.
