ADGP Jammu Zone briefs police officers for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2024

JAMMU: The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of the Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, conducted a comprehensive briefing session for the Police officers designated by the Police Headquarters (PHQ) for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2024. The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of ZPHQ Jammu this evening.
The briefing focused on ensuring a secure, smooth, and successful pilgrimage for the devotees of Shri Amarnath Ji. Key aspects discussed during the session.
Strategies were laid out to fortify the security apparatus along the Yatra route, with special emphasis on vulnerable points.
The ADGP highlighted the importance of vigilance and coordination among the forces to pre-empt and counter any potential threats.
Effective traffic regulation plans were discussed to manage the flow of pilgrims and vehicles, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum safety. Officers were instructed to coordinate with the traffic department to maintain seamless transit routes.
Techniques for managing large crowds at the base camps and en -route were reviewed. The ADGP Jammu underscored the need for maintaining discipline and order to prevent overcrowding and ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims.
Contingency plans for dealing with natural disasters or emergencies were discussed. The officers were briefed on rapid response protocols and the importance of timely coordination with disaster management teams.
The briefing included measures to provide medical aid and other necessary facilities to the pilgrims.
The ADGP emphasized the collaboration with health departments to set up medical camps and ensure the availability of emergency medical services.
The ADGP Jammu assured that all necessary resources and support would be provided to the designated officers to facilitate a successful Yatra.
The meeting /briefing session was attended by DIG Jammu, SSP PCR Jammu SSP Jammu besides all Police officers earmarked by PHQ for SANJY-2024.
