JAMMU: L Mohanti, Additional DGP Armed J&K and his Staff Officer M.Y Kichloo, SSP decorated the promoted officers with ranks in a pipping ceremony held at Armed Police Headquarters here on Monday.
While decorating the officers with rank, the ADGP congratulated the promotees and wish them more success in their service career. He also extended his warm greetings to their families.
Sub-Inspectors Vidya Sagar, Ramesh Kumar and Assistant Sub-Inspector Krishan Saroop Rathore of Armed Police Headquarters J&K who were decorated with ranks were promoted vide APHQ order No.118 and 119 of 2017 dated 9th February 2017. It is pertinent to mention here that on 9th February, 2017 ADGP Armed had issued promotion orders of 337 Police Personnel of J&K Armed Police which include 137 Sub-Inspectors and 200 Assistant Sub-Inspectors.
M.Y Kichloo SSP, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed J and K, Junaid Wali, DySP (Pers) APHQ, Jigmet Lhundhup, DySP Sports APHQ J and K, Mohammad Shafi Rather CPO APHQ, Sheikh Mohammad Younis Pvt. Secretary to ADGP Armed J and K, Farooq Ahmad, Administrative Officer APHQ, Peerzada Idrees Malik Inspector (Pers.) APHQ and all staff members of Armed Police Headquarters J&K congratulated the promoted officers and wished them more success in future.
Meanwhile, ADGP Armed also promoted 836 Sg Constables to the rank of Head Constables in J and K Armed Police besides in-situ promotion to 14 constables of Armed Police.
The Sgcts promoted as Head Constables include all Sgcts of 2005 – 06 batch plus 266 Sgcts of the batch of Sgcts promoted on 12th July 2006.
Formal orders of these promotions were issued by the Addl DGP Armed after the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) found the individuals eligible and recommended them for their promotion to the Head Constables. The Departmental Promotion Committee under the chairmanship of ADGP Armed J&K comprised of B.A Khan SSP Commandant JKAP 13thBn, Mohammad Aslam SSP Commandant IRP 2stBn, Sameer Rekhi SSP Commandant IRP 12thBn, Mohammad Shafi Rather Chief Prosecuting Officer APHQ J&K, Junaid Wali DySP (Pers) APHQ J&K and Abdul Wahid Accounts Assistant APHQ J&K.
The ADGP Armed appreciated the dedication and efforts put in by his Staff Officer M.Y Kichloo SSP and his team of officers including Junaid Wali Dy.SP (Pers) and ASI Ghulam Nabi Bhat In-charge CRC Section APHQ for speedy collection, scrutiny of records and preparation of service data of such a large number of officials in one-go in a record time which enabled the DPC to finalise the promotion process smoothly and in a shortest possible time. The ADGP Armed expressed the hope that the promoted officials will continue to work with the same zeal and zest and discharge their assigned duties honestly and professionally, upholding the sanctity of public Service.
