With the intention of providing relief to the people living in remote, hilly and inaccessible areas of Bani and Basohli Tehsils and to take the benefits of administration to their portals. Mehbooba Mufti Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir announced the post of Additional DC for Basohli Sub Division along with the formation of separate Basohli Bani Development Authority for the speedy and timely completion of the developmental projects.
Additional DC Basohli has been designated as CEO of the DD authority also. Five months on, the requisite powers, needed for the disposal of the important administrative cases and undertaking the developmental works, have not been sanctioned till date. In spite of the non delegation of Magisterial powers the said officer is performing his duty efficiently by dint of his capability, zeal for work. Without powers all the developmental as well as administrative works of both the Tehsils have come to halt with the result the people of the duo Tehsils are suffering badly. It is, therefore, requested to delegate the Magisterial as well as powers of the CEO Development in favour of ADC Basohli so that he can dispose the pending works of his Court easily and immediately.
