SRINAGAR: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and other RSS cadres are involved in activities that are detrimental to the unity and integrity of India. This was said by former Union Minister Prof. Saifuddin Soz in a statement released here on Thursday.
“Bhagwat is known nationally and internationally as a die-hard exponent of the dream of establishing a Hindu Rashtra in India. I think his definition of the expression Hindu will be summarily rejected not only by the Muslim community and other minorities, but by the overwhelming majority in India. He (Bhagwat) has several times in the past been reprimanded by knowledgeable people that his pernicious ideas will never be accepted by the secular India. He also wants to forget that BJP with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the helm have had the mandate of 31 per cent of India and it is 69 per cent of the people of India that had rejected the BJP led by Modi and Bhagwat in the last general elections”, he said adding he does not want to understand that the Constitution of India has defined all the social, economic and political situations that the citizens in India need to appreciate on different occasions.
“Bhagwat and his cohorts in the RSS must know that the majority of Indians consider themselves Indians and nobody except the RSS will accept the definition of an Indian given by RSS chief”, he asserted.
