BHADARWAH: Following complaints from the students and the civil society about the irregularities in punctuality of staff at Government Polytechnic Ramban, MLA Neelam Kumar Langeh and District Development Commissioner Ramban Farooq Shah Bukhari made a joint surprise visit to Government Polytechnic College Ramban in order to check the attendance of staff.
During this surprise inspection principal and some other teaching officers/officials of the college were found unauthorisedly absent from their duties.
During the checking of attendance registers some shocking discrepancies were also found by the authorities. It was informed that some of the staff members had marked their morning and evening shift attendance of 8th June 2015 in advance, but were found physically absent on spot by the authorities.
The DDC taking a strong note of this irresponsible and negligent state of affairs in the institution recommended the delinquent principal as well as other officials for strict disciplinary action to Director Technical Education Jammu under Civil Service Conduct Rules.
