SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has produced a chargesheet against former Patwari Halqa Nasrullahpora, Budgam in the Court of Special Judge, Anti Corruption Srinagar in a trap case on Friday. As per an official spokesperson, ACB produced chargesheet against Bashir Ahmad Dar, the then Patwari Halqa Nasrullahpora (Budgam) in a trap case registered vide FIR No. 07 of 2019 at Police Station ACB Srinagar in Court of Special Judge, Anti Corruption Srinagar.
Giving further details, he said that instant case was registered on a complaint that Bashir Ahmad, the then Patwari Halqa Nasrullapora Budgam after taking an amount of Rs 8,000 from a complainant for issuing Fard-e-Intikhab related to 8 Marlas of land at Gallwanpora, which was purchased by complainant’s sister and that Patwari was demanding an amount of Rs 2,000 more for the same. The complainant further requested that he did not want to pay more money to Patwari and therefore, necessary legal action be taken against him. Accordingly, a trap team was constituted and case vide FIR No. 07/2019 was registered in Police Station ACB Srinagar. The trap team arrested accused Patwari while accepting bribe money of Rs. 2000 in presence of independent witnesses. The Anti-Corruption Bureau submitted chargesheet after obtaining sanction from Government, he said, adding that next date of hearing has been fixed on February 20, 2021.
