JAMMU: The volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday held a protest against the suicide of young Dalit student at Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Kanwar Gagan said that both the Union Minister Bangaru Dattaireya and Smriti Irani should immediately resign from their respective ministries so that justice is done with Dalit student, who was forced to suicide for no fault of his.
“The so called judicial probe ordered by Smriti Irani is just an eye wash without the resignation of both the ministers and also without the removal of Vice-Chancellor and the said order was to announce alter the Prime Minister was opposed at Lucknow University yesterday,” he said.
Gagan said that if the Central Government is sincere about giving justice to Dalit students in the case both ministers should resign first and after the removal of the Vice-Chancellor, judicial probe be conducted.
Amongst others who attended the protest include Sanjeev Sareen, Gagandeep Singh, Harpreet Singh, Vipul Bali, Raj Kumar Nischal, Jamneet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Anita Guota, Ram Devi, Darshan Lal and Dalvinder.
