BHADARWAH: Two persons were arrested along with 90 Kg of poppy straw during a routine checking on Srinagar-Jammu Highway in Banihal area of Ramban District.
According to police, during routine checking at Old Toll Post Banihal, police seized five plastic bags containing 18 kg of poppy straw each from a Wagon-R car (HR26AX-5667) and arrested two occupants of car. The accused persons were identified as Driver Bagwan Singh (35 years), son of Hakam Singh and Baga Singh (50 years), son of Pan Singh both residents of Fatehabad Haryana. A FIR 24/16 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Banihal in this regard.
