AKHNOOR: Superb innings of 58 runs and two wickets by Happy on Sunday helped Singh Bataira to a 49 runs victory against Muthi Cricket Club (MCC) in the ongoing Eighth Pawan Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School, here.
Earlier, batting first, Singh Bataira set a big target of 193 runs for six wickets. Happy remained highest scorer with 31-ball 58 runs while Anil contributed 36-ball 45 runs. Kabhi (28) and Jerry (21) were other main contributors to the total.
For Muthi Club, Sahil claimed two wickets, while Baba, Panku and Aman shared apiece each.
Later, chasing a tough target, Muthi Club was bundled out for 143 runs in 19.4 overs. Ankush (21), Sahil (20), Sunny (19) and Aman (18) were main scorers. For Singh Bataira, Tinku clinched three wickets while Happy and Binny shared two wickets each.
For his all round performance, Happy was adjudged Man of the Match. Rajinder Sharma and Vikas Bali were Umpires while Ashu Mangotra maintained the scorecard.
