JAMMU: 8th J&K UT, District level Men and Women Powerlifting and Benchpress Championship organised by Powerlifting Association of J&K concluded at Indoor Stadium Bhagwati Nagar, here. In the championship more than 50 players under different weight categories including men and women participated.
Final Result: Men 52 kg: Vijay Singh 1st, Ritesh Peer 2nd. 59 kg: Mantu Gupta 1st. 83 kg: Gagandeep Singh 1st. 93 kg- Abhishek Manhas 1st and Vishal Dev Singh 2nd. 105 kg: Aditya Gupta 1st and Anirudh 2nd.
Women 52kg: Radhika Sharma 1st and Ridhima 2nd. 59 kg: Nandini 1st. 74 kg: Kritika 1st. 83 kg: Madhu Rani 1st.
In the closing ceremony DySP Gurmeet Singh was the Chief Guest who gave away medals and trophies to winners.
The vote of thanks was presented by Rakesh Kumar, General Secretary of Powerlifting Association of J&K.
The officials present were Rajat Singh Solan (Organizing Secretary), Shovit Verma, Karamjit Singh, Ajmer Singh, Rakesh Varundeep Sharma, Vijay, Himanshu, Sanchit, Sameer, Vipul, Atul Gupta and Vishal Sharma as Media Secretaries.
