POONCH : On the directions of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Mohd Haroon Malik, a team of officers conducted a surprise visit of the market in view of sacred month of Ramadan and checked the hygiene, sanitation and the quality of the commodities being sold and the rates thereof. The team comprising of AD Food Choudhary Nasib Ahmed, TSO Manmohan Suri, CEO MC Irshad Sofi and Khilafwarzi Inspector Manveer Singh challaned 80 shops and recovered a fine of Rs 15,500 from the defaulters. The team also recovered 20 kg polythene bags during checking. The team issued strict instructions to the shop keepers to sell quality goods and display the rate lists at prominent place. They also asked them not to encroach the foot path and road by spreading their goods
