SAMBA: Eight persons were injured in four separate road incidents in Samba District on Sunday.
In first incident, an XUV (JK02BC-1717) and Honda City (CH04B-8151) collided head-on at Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Nanake Chack in which five persons got injured. All were evacuated to Government District Hospital Samba from where the three were referred to MH Jammu and rest two were still at Samba Hospital. Three referred were identified as Veer Vikrant Singh (40) son of Chanchal Singh, his wife Preeti Vikrant (35) and their son Viraj Vikrant all from c/o 20 Punjab, and rest two were R.P. Sharma (69) son of Bishan Dass and Ashok Kumar (51) son of Sita Ram both from Reasi.
In second incident, one pedestrian was injured when motorcycle hit him on National Highway near Veer Bhumi Park Samba. The locals rushed the injured to Government District Hospital Samba. He was identified as Aman Kumar (10) son of Sanjay Kumar from Bihar at present Chohata Samba. The motorcyclist escaped from the spot after hitting him.
In third incident, one child namely Jasmeet Singh (5) son of Surjit Singh resident of Chack Ram Chand (Supwal) got injured when the scooty bearing registration number JK21B- 3316 skidded off near Barian (Supwal). He was evacuated to Government District Hospital Samba from where the doctors referred him to GMC hospital Jammu.
In fourth incident, a motorcycle without number skidded off on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Plah Morh (Samba) in which the motorcyclist got injured. He was evacuated to Government District Hospital Samba from where the doctors referred him to GMC hospital Jammu. He was identified as Ankush Sharma (30) son of Tirath Ram Sharma resident of Tarlokan Di Chhapdi Samba.
Cases have been registered at concerned police stations for the further investigations.
