JAMMU: Chairman Disciplinary Committee of Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janta Party Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi on Monday said finding prima facie evidence against eight senior leaders of Bhartiya Janata Party of indulging in activities which were depicting indiscipline notices were issued to them by giving them one opportunity to tender unconditional apology and a clear undertaking to not to indulge in indiscipline in future failing which regular Disciplinary Proceedings were not start against them which might have led to their expulsion from party.
Disciplinary Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after finding prima facie evidence against some senior leaders of the party, had offered them an opportunity of tendering an unconditional apology and giving an undertaking to not to indulge in such activities again. These senior leaders include Dr. Ali Mohd, G M Mir, Altaf Thakur, Manzoor Ahmed, Arif Raza, Bilal Parray, Anwar Khan and Asif Masoodi. They were also told that after giving this undertaking if they fail to abide by it, the same may lead to their expulsion.
In response to notice issued to them, they have submitted their unconditional apology for their conduct and have also given undertaking not to repeat such conduct in future and not to indulge in anti party activities or conduct of indiscipline.
Being satisfied with apology and keeping in view their past standing and contribution to the party , the Disciplinary Committee has decided to close Proceedings against them with direction to them to be bound by their undertaking failing which strict action will be taken . Committee has recommended to President to issue directions to close the proceedings.
