KISHTWAR: Hatta Eleven won the inaugural match of the Seventh Police Martyrs Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament being organiszed by District Police Kishtwar under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Chowgan Ground, here on Wednesday. Elected to bat first after winning the toss, Young Star set a target of 125 runs in 20 overs which in reply, Hatta Eleven chased comfortably in 16 overs for the loss of six wickets thus won the match by four wickets.
Sahil of Hatta Eleven, who played match winning knock of 53 runs, was declared as Man of the Match.
Earlier, Chief Guest, Ghulam Nabi Balwan, District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar inaugurated the tournament in presence of SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, Commander 09 Sector RR, Brig. Ashit Bajpaee, General Manager NHPC Kishtwar, P.K Langer, District Sports Officer, Deewan Chand, other district officers and members of Youth Club. In all, 32 teams of Kishtwar District are participating in the tournament.
The tournament is held every year to commemorate the sacrifices of Martyrs of J and K Police.
