Corruption, terrorism need to quit India: BJP

RAJOURI: In order to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Quit India Movement, on Wednesday a programme was organised at Gujjar Mandi Rajouri by the BJP Rajouri unit. On this occasion senior leaders of the party paid floral tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Independence.
Addressing the gathering Vice chairman of J and K Pahari Advisory Board Kuldeep Raj Gupta termed August 9, 1942 a historic day as on this very day in August 1942 Bharat Chhodo Andolan (Quit India Movement) was launched and this day marks the completion of 75 years of this movement.
Speaking on the occasion MLC Vibodh Gupta said BJP has decided to celebrate this day by organising programmes across the nation as a mark of respect to those who ensured that we live in Independent India. He further added that in the present circumstances we need to launch another Quit India movement when we have to resolve to expel corruption, terrorism, casteism, communalism, poverty and dumps of garbage we see wherever we go.

Rajinder Gupta, Bharat Bhushan Vaid, Atam Gupta, Kamal Bakshi, Ashwani Kocharr, Dev Raj Sharma, Choudhary Darbar, Kamal Gupta, Kewal Sharma, Ranjeet Tara, Rakesh Raina, Balvir, Bodh Raj, Raja Rattan, Sanjay Sharma, Talib Mir, Kapil Sarayal and Karan Sarayal were also present
SAMBA: BJP Yuva Morcha took out a rally on the occasion of 75th anniversary of ‘Quit India Movement’ and at the same time raised slogans against corruption.
The first rally was taken out at Bari Brahmana under the leadership of BJP Yuva Morcha Mandal President Akhlesh Dutt in which large number of locals and BJP workers participated.
AKHNOOR: A candle march was organised by the Morcha at Akhnoor under the leadership of MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma which passed through the Main Bazaar up to the Kameshwar Market with participants raising slogans against the corruption.
The MLA said that the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to fully implement the slogans ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘No Corruption’, ‘No Caste-bar’ and ‘No Terrorism’ in the country by 2022.
Others who joined the march include Pawan Gupta, Tara Mehta, Gopal Krishna, Shashi Sharma and Pawan Sharma.
KATHUA: District BJP Unit Kathua commemorated the ‘Quit India Movement’ of 1942 and observed its 75th Anniversary. They also paid tributes to the martyrs who laid their lives in the Freedom Movement.
They criticised the Congress Party for its claim on freedom struggle terming it as a combined struggle in which 166 people of RSS laid down their lives. They said Dr Hedgawar spent two years in jail during this struggle.
Prominent among those present include Dr Narinder Singh, Chatter Singh, Ashanand Khajuria, Ashok Jasrotia, Rekha Devi, Inderjeet Sharma, Karan Kumar, Balbir Singh, Ajay Singh, Kaka Singh and Indu Lekha.
