74th EME Corps Day celebrated

UDHAMPUR: 74th EME Day was celebrated across the Northern Command Theatre here on Saturday.
All personnel of the Corps re-dedicated themselves to the enshrining principles and core values of the soldier craftsmen. The proceedings of the day commenced by a solemn prayer and remembrance at the Dhruva War Memorial, where wreaths were laid in the honour of the soldiers who laid down their life in the line of duty by Maj General Anil Kapoor, senior most EME officer, veterans, officers and men from EME units stationed at Udhampur.
Lt Gen D.S Hooda, Army Commander Northern Command complimented all ranks of the Corps of EME for their continued dedication, high degree of professionalism and dexterity in maintaining operational readiness of the plethora of equipment held in the Command Theatre in difficult and inhospitable terrain and inclement weather conditions.
