71st B N Mullik Memorial All India Police Football gets underway

SRINAGAR: Fourteen matches held on second day of the 71st B.N. Mullik Memorial All India Police Football tournament at four different venues, here on Monday. At Synthetic Turf Ground, DySP Sports APHQ Kuldeep Hundoo was the Chief Guest of the event. Results: West Bengal Police beat Chandigarh Police by three goals to nil; J&K Police defeated Bihar Police by two goals to nil; CRPF outplayed Chhattisgarh Police by 11 goals to nil; and Meghalaya Police trounced Assam Rifles by one goal to nil.
At Polo Ground, Dy Commandant IRP 8th Bn was the chief guest of the event. Results: Odisha Police and ITBP played goalless draw; Punjab Police beat Telangana Police by four goals to nil; Jharkhand Police thrashed Madha Pradesh Police by two goals to nil; and Delhi Police outplayed Haryana Police by five goals to one.
At Bakshi Stadium, Manager J&K Sports Council Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar was chief of the event. Results: The match between CISF and Maharashtra Police ended in 2-2 draw; and Assam Police and Goa played a goalless draw.
At Kashmir University Ground, SSP Srinagar Rakesh Balwal was the chief guest of the event. Results: The match between SSB and Sikkim Police ended un 1:1 draw; Kerala Police beat Arunachal Pradesh by two goals to nil; Mizoram Police defeated Gujarat Police by nine goals to one; Tamil Nadu and Manipur Police played 1-1 draw.
