AKHNOOR: About 70 Kanal wheat crop was destroyed at border village Nikowal of Akhnoor.
According to the villagers, early in the morning, a wheat crop which was ready for harvesting caught fire. As the people saw flames coming out of fields they informed the duty Jawans of 33 Battalion of Border Security Forces (BSF) who took the risk and saved other crops by controlling the fire to spread to other fields.
