Poonch: District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Judge Poonch Manzoor Ahmed Khan on Sunday conducted Nakas at various places of Poonch and Challanned vehicles plying without documents and mobile phone users while driving.
Nakas were laid at Bus Stand Poonch and other places of Poonch town in which 50 vehicles were Challaned and 10 were seized. A fine amounting Rs 15, 500 was also recovered from defaulters.
KATHUA: A team of RTO office Kathua conducted a day long checking on National Highway and
imposed a fine of Rs 4,41,500 on violators of Motor Vehicle Act.
A team headed by ARTO Kathua Indu Jamwal laid Nakas at different places and held extensive checking of vehicles plying on National Highway.
During the checking, about 150 vehicles were compounded by inspecting team and an amount of Rs 3,86,500 was realised as compounded money. Besides, the team also Challaned 19 vehicles for the violation such as, violation of route permit, overloading, token tax, fitness, deficiency of documents and violations of other provisions of Motor Vehicle Act and an amount of Rs 55,000 recovered from the offenders.
