SRINAGAR: The 5th District Srinagar Rope Skipping Championship concluded at the Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Khanyar. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 200 students representing various government and private institutions.
The schools that competed in the championship included R. P. School Lawaypora, Oasis Educational Institute, Woodlands House School, Vision School of Education, International School of London, Crescent Public School, Alpha Public Secondary School, and Firdous Educational Institute. The competition showcased the skills and athleticism of the young participants, making it a memorable event for all involved.
Sheikh Waheeda, Principal of GHSS Khanyar, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Syed Shazia Abbass (PEL GHSS Khanyar), Rouf Ahmad Khan (PEM GHSS Khanyar), and Mohammad Sufiyan Bhat, the Secretary of the Association.
The championship was organized by the District Srinagar Rope Skipping Association, under the aegis of the Rope Skipping Association of J&K, in collaboration with The Legends School of Education. The event highlighted the importance of physical fitness and sportsmanship among students and provided a platform for them to display their talents.
The successful conclusion of the championship marks another milestone in promoting rope skipping as a competitive sport in the region.
