KATHUA: A special camp for Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana was inaugurated by Dr. B. L Gupta Principal of Government Degree College Kathua, in which 500 students registered on the very first day for opening their accounts in Bank of Baroda which has organised the camp.
B. L Gupta welcomed Bank of Baroda for their drive in Govt. Degree College Kathua and thus providing a golden opportunity to the students and that too at their door step. He advised the students to get the benefit of this scheme by opening their bank accounts and also to aware the general masses for availing the benefits of the scheme.
The camp was organised by Bank of Baroda for opening Zero Balance Accounts of the students under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana. Bank is targeting all the students of the college for this scheme so that the main advantage of the scheme i.e. Accidental Insurance cover of Rs. 1 Lakh may be availed by the students. The other facilities i.e. security of money along with interest and withdrawal of money from any ATM with a Debit Card are also there in the scheme.
Earlier Branch Manager of Bank of Baroda, Shiva Nagar Branch, Deepak Kohli apprised the students about the benefits of the scheme. He also thanked principal and staff of the college for their cooperation and help in making this programme a grand success.

Prof.P.K.Rao, Prof. Anirudh Sharma, Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Prof. Pankaj Nandan, Prof. Gurdyal, Dr. Suram Singh, Prof. Sandeep Choudhary, Prof. Pawan Kumar, Dr Surya Partap Singh, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Dr.Balbinder Singh and other faculty members.
