RAMBAN/RAJOURI: Police on wednesday rescued 45 bovines and arrested four smugglers in seperate Nakas in Ramban and Rajouri Districts.
According to a report, on specific information, a police party led by Inspr. Arun Kotwal, SHO Police Station Batote under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, laid a special Naka at Baggu Nallah on NHW 44 and intercepted a Truck bearing registration No. JK02 AT- 8215 on way to Kashmir driven by Khalid Mohd son of Manzoor Ahmed resident of Thard Udhampur.
During checking, 30 bovines were found loaded in the vehicle in a cruel manner. On this, driver of vehicle was arrested and a case under FIR No. 61/2015 section 188 RPC 3 PCA Act was registered against him at Police Station Batote.
Meanwhile, Thanamandi Police led by SHO Police Sttaion Thanamandi Inspr. Narinder Singh Chib under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Iftqar Talib laid a Naka at Thanamandi and seized 12 bovines. Police arrested two bovine smugglers namely Sheraz Ahmed son of Habibullah resident of Behrote and Mohd Afzal son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Behrote. A case under FIRs No. 83/2015 and 84/2015 section 188 RPC, 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Thanamandi.
Similarly, Nowshera Police led by SHO Police Station Nowshera Inspr. Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Sargun Shukla, during intervening night of 16th -17th June 2015 laid a Naka at Raipur Patta and seized one TATA Mobile bearing registration No.JK04A-9357 and rescued three bovines from the possession of Rashid Jameel son of Bagh Hussain resident of Raipur Patta. A case under FIR No. 107/2015 section 188 RPC 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Nowshera.
